H. J. von der Goltz

Mr. von der Goltz was educated at St. Paul’s School, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard Business School (PMD Program).

Mr. von der Goltz is the founding partner of Boston Capital Ventures (BCV), and has been the Managing General Partner since its inception in 1982. He has considerable business operating and development experience, having founded and managed a large number of companies with substantial success. Before founding BCV, he had 30 years of US and international business operating experience in Europe and Latin America, including positions with Otto Wolff A.G. and Trinkhaus Bank in Germany. He founded many companies including a shrimp fishing company in Mexico. Mr. von der Goltz held the senior management position at various companies in Central America as well as Cerveceria del Sur S.A. in Guatemala, which he founded. His international and operational expertise contributes in identifying, building and acquiring companies of strategic importance to the BPEA portfolio companies. Mr. von der Goltz, among others, was a founder and Director of Cornerstone Brands, Inc., a consolidator of direct marketing companies; Fast Channel Networks, a developer of online media distribution and management solutions, and is currently Chairman of Conservation Tourism, Inc., an eco-tourism company. Mr. von der Goltz is a General Partner in BPEA I & II.
